The co-hosted webinar by Te Aukume a Hine te Iwaiwa, the ON TRACK Network and Perinatal Society of New Zealand and will be a live event and will also be available for viewing as a recording at later dates. You may want to consider arranging your own local hui to allow your teams to learn together and make it something social too!


The webinar will be of interest for researchers committed to mothers and pregnant people and babies health research, as well as M?ori health researchers and healthcare professionals providing pregnancy care including midwives, obstetricians, and general practitioners.

Topics that will be covered include:

? Brief introduction of Te Aukume a Hine te Iwaiwa, the ON TRACK Network and the Perinatal Society of New Zealand

? Updates from the Te Aukume a Hine te Iwaiwa W?nanga and Findings of the scoping project on matauranga and rangahau- This scoping project aimed to collate available literature that centred kaupapa M?ori approaches to rangahau and m?tauranga M?ori in academic sources. The intention was to make this knowledge readily known and accessible to current and future kairangahau looking to advance kaupapa M?ori rangahau and make a difference in healthcare for m?m?, p?pi and their wh?nau. It also allowed us to highlight potential gaps or opportunities for future projects to address.

? An overview of the ON TRACK Network national research prioritisation project


Te Aukume o Hine te Iwaiwa was established in 2021 to facilitate whanaungatanga between infant and maternal M?ori health researchers, health professionals and wh?nau. We hold opportunities to connect online as well as in person. We share our mahi, collaborate and help drive M?ori-led research and an evidence-base of what works for M?ori to inform health policy, practice, and system change.
