Kia ora
I am pleased to present the long-awaited 'Becoming a Dad' video recordings, which are now LIVE. Purposefully to coincide with International Day of the Midwife 2026, which highlights the fatherhood perspective of becoming a P?p?. One of the many amazing skillsets midwives have when we interact with Mama, Papa, P?pi and their wh?nau. It takes a village. A resource intended for new dads, childbirth educators and Hap? w?nanga facilitators. N? m?tou, n? koutou, n? t?tou.
I want to acknowledge the Papa who are featured in the video. They're aroha atu aroha mai shines through in this taonga they have gifted us. To the team at Media Mint, for their expertise, patience and outstanding workmanship, kau mau te wehi. To @Anaru Hodges, facilitator extraordinaire! E mihi ana e te Tungane. @Claire Harman [HVDHB], Senior Communications Advisor for connecting me with the Digital Team @Briony Willing Digital Communications (Content), for getting this to the final product, thank you also for your patience @Nicholas Harvey for editing and subtitles. Finally, @Wietske Cloo for your belief in this mahi. E hara taku toa I te toa takitahi, engari he toa takitini.
