Access to the PEDS-R online training is now live.
From 30 June PEDS can no longer be used. From 1 July 2025, all Well Child Tamariki Ora and B4 School Check services must use PEDS-R as the primary developmental screening tool. Mandatory PEDS-R online
training must be completed, prior to the use of the tool.
Registration
To register your clinical workforce for the PEDS-R online training, please complete the below registration form as soon as possible:

The form is for completion for each individual workforce member. If you have a large clinical workforce and would like a means to bulk enrol please contact

Following submission of the registration forms your enrolled staff members will receive an e-mail containing instructions on how to access the online training system. Please allow up to 10 working days
for this e-mail. If they have not received instructions within this time frame, contact

About the tutorial
The PEDS-R training is an online, self-paced tutorial that takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes to complete
including testing and certification.
Content: The tutorial provides comprehensive information on PEDS-R, covering its background, usage and how to score and interpret parent or carer responses.
Location: Online. Available at any time.
Platform: Available through the online training system, LearnUpon.
Duration: Approximately one hour.
Certification: Following the tutorial, there is a 20-minute certification process, leading to official certification of the participant.
Cost
The PEDS-R training is free until 30 June 2025 for all those already trained in PEDS. For those who have not previously been trained in PEDS and those who complete the training after 1 July 2025, the PEDS-R training will cost $90 (AUD) per participant. This will be at the provider?s expense.
Train the Trainer
The online tutorial is the only training method for the use of PEDS-R. A train the trainer model is not available.
