Te Horopaki ? The Background
Te Iti me te Rahi: Everyone Counts survey is being conducted by Te Rau Ora, with support from Infometrics. It provides baseline data and insights about the M?ori health workforce in Aotearoa. It is funded by Te Whatu Ora | Health New Zealand. The last survey was in 2018 and can be accessed here.
Survey findings will provide critical insights for workforce planning, investment, and policy development. They reinforce the importance of culturally responsive environments and equitable systems that support M?ori health professionals to thrive.
Te P?take - The Purpose
There is a general lack of detailed data on the experiences of M?ori health workers, considering future workforce priorities. The survey aims to understand on two key areas about the M?ori health workforce:

Participation in Te Iti me te Rahi survey is voluntary, anonymous. Completion of the survey indicates informed consent. No identifying information will be collected, ensuring participant confidentiality and the ethical integrity of the survey process.
