Good morning from Hawaii,
On behalf of myself and my fellow Hawaiian Indigenous birthworkers and midwives, I am pleased to invite Indigenous birthworkers and midwives and Indigenous midwifery students to our 2nd annual Global Council of Indigenous Midwives (GCIM) Gathering, to be held in Hawaii from April 14-19, 2025.
The theme for the 2025 GCIM Gathering is Ku?u ?we Ku?u Piko, symbolizing the
enduring connections between our Indigenous customs and our present and future
practices. The themes of connections and relationships will be woven through our
Gathering presentations and activities. For the safety of Gathering participants, the
Gathering is intended for Indigenous birth workers, Indigenous midwives and
Indigenous midwifery students only.
I am attaching the open invitation letter, as well as a copy of our early draft agenda and a link to a survey, to be completed by anyone interested in attending.
Here is the link to the survey: GCIM survey
Mahalo in advance for sharing this amongst your networks and colleagues. We look forward to hosting you and sharing with you!
