T?n? koe Member,
?
We are excited to announce the second gathering and conference of the Global Council of Indigenous Midwives (GCIM), scheduled to be held in Hawai?i on the island of O?ahu from April 14-19, 2025. The theme for this year's gathering is "Honoring Indigenous Peoples that are still in their homeland." For more detailed conference information, please refer to the documents below.

Ng? M?ia Trust is administering a small fund (yet to be received) on behalf of an indigenous international donor dedicated to supporting the participation of M?ori Midwives and M?ori student Midwives at this event. The purpose of this email is to offer a travel stipend to those members planning to attend. Ng? M?ia Trust have no formal relationship with the funder or GCIM Conference organising committee. The grant amount per applicant will be determined based on the total number of eligible applicants, with equitable distribution across M?ori being our fund criteria. Our goal is to locate members planning to attend and offer the application form for speedy administration of the travel grant once it is received.

Registration Details:
Refer to the documents below for conference information.

Important Note on Participation:
For the safety and integrity of the gathering, this event is intended for Indigenous birth workers, Indigenous midwives, and Indigenous midwifery students ONLY. The organising committee reserves the right to accept or decline registrations.

Please submit your application for the travel stipend here by Friday, March 14, 2025, at 5 pm. Successful applicants will be notified by Monday, March 17, 2025, at 5 pm.
